322 sqft is the size of the flat I rented three years ago.
It sits in the middle of the hub, and gradually grows into a quiet little box in the rather noisy city that never sleeps.
No roommate flushes the toilet, no parents cook for lunch, no friends party in the house. If sound has a colour, my little flat would be pale.
But that is healing.
The populous city is by no means a soothing place to live in. Big brands, stared restaurants, international schools: everyone has some race to run, to win some trophy. Sense of competition is so well blended into the city at all levels, just like the built-in buildings alongside the city’s hillsides - and they tear apart the whole-piece sky.
Living in and out of the crowds, whom behave seemingly appropriately but always get betrayed by their unnecessary fast walking; I started to keep a record of my sporadic cynicism. And the flat I’m living in, the “pale little box”, now evolves into a pinhole camera to capture all my speakable and unspeakable sentiments.
322 sqft is the size of the pinhole camera.
